Our History
Canadian symbols such as multiculturalism, diversity, equal opportunity and democracy are the building
blocks of creating a peaceful nation and harmonized societies. We love Canada and proud to be
Canadian. We should always strive to be the best citizens. Canada has provided us with opportunities to
attain a high quality of life through hard work and integrity.
What Peace and Unity means–
Peace and unity go side by side. Peace brings prosperity, happiness and togetherness. Peaceful
communities are united communities, and unity is the key to success of any community. When we
cooperate with each other we achieve more and prosperously. Working together is a form of unity to
fulfill common goals for the betterment of self and community.
Based on these principles, we decided to form a group named – “Canadian Peace and Unity Foundation”
to achieve some of these characteristics.
We started on this journey on April 10th, 2005, with a purpose to bring togetherness in our families and
communities. To achieve this, the foundation has organized seminars, events and programs to engage
our youth and seniors by providing them a platform to discuss generational issues and promote ideas to
overcome these issues. The purpose has been to build cohesive families where everyone is engaged and
contribute towards their wellbeing by respecting each other requirements and sensitivities. Stronger
and united families produce stronger and united communities.
Since 2005 until now the foundation has so far organized many seminars, workshops on different topics
